关于作业的讨论 Discussion on homework

Last week our class had a parents meeting. At the meeting, all the parents talked about whether doing a lot of homework was useful or not. Many parents thought that doing much homework was useful. They thought by doing a lot of homework, students could review what they had learned. It would also help to develop the students minds and stop them playing computer games. But a few parents thought that too much homework was useless. Because doing much homework took a lot of time and thus students could not have a good rest. Whats more, they could not do the things they liked. In my opinion, doing some suitable homework is necessary and helpful.
上周我们班有一个家长会。在会上，所有的家长都在谈论是否做了大量的家庭作业是有用的或不。许多家长认为做许多家庭作业是有用的。他们认为做了大量的作业，学生可以复习他们所学的东西。这也有助于培养学生的思维，阻止他们玩电脑游戏。但是一些家长认为太多的家庭作业是没有用的。因为做了大量的作业占用了大量的时间，因此学生不能好好休息。更甚的是，他们不能做他们喜欢的事情。在我看来，做一些适当的家庭作业是必要的和有益的。
