a splendid city of nangchang
wherever one wanders ,whenever one recalls, his heart is filled with love of his hometown, memories of the hometown will remain in his heart forever.as it was the soil of the hometown that brought him up.one's hometown is the very place where ones root lies.
well, nanchang is the very place for me .
nanchang ,which is located in the south of the yangtze river,is an attrative garden city.she has a long history of over 2200 years, and she is one of the 35 biggest cities in china.she has numerous senic spots, such as:the bayi square, memorial hall of the august first uprising, the shenjin pogoda, the pavilin of prince teng, the pedestrian mall, etc.
but what used to be in nanchang in old times?the elder generation talked like this:everyday, the noise and the polluted air surrounded us wherever we went.people ,living in dark, dirty and unhealthy rooms in old buildings and hut on narrow muddy streets.everywhere was stuck due to the crowded people.the transportation was not convenient.life was fabulous for a few rich families, but for most of the people in poverty,it was awful.
however, things chang now.people built up places providing entertainment and culture.for instance, science and technology museum, the qiushui square, the honggu tan .people also built modern hospitals,shops,high-tech development zones.these facilities make nanchang more attractive.
with the advancement of economy, nanchang is also developing rapidly to catch up with pace.now,we can breathe the fresh air, enjoy trees, grassland and flowers .exactly,in the morning, we can wake up in a good mood with the singing birds and take a relaxing morning exercise,we can relish ourselves in the warm sunshine on yangjiang road.at night, we can appreciate the sparkling stars in the dark-blue sky.what a nice day in a nice city!
why don't we embrance the tranquility and sweetneof the living in nanchang?
i love you,nanchang!!
2youth is not a time of life; it is a state of mind; it is not a matter of
rosy cheeks, red lips and supple knees; it is a matter of the will, a
quality of the imagination, a vigor of the emotions; it is the freshneof
the deep springs of life.
youth means a tempera-mental predominance of courage over timidity, of the
appetite for adventure over the love of ease. this often exists in a man of
60 more than a boy of 20. nobody grows old merely by a number of years. we
grow old by deserting our ideals.
years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul.
worry, fear, self-distrust bows the heart and turns the spring back to dust.
